Large enough to accommodate meetings, smaller conferences and workshops, yet with an intimate atmosphere suited to press conferences and dinners, our Convocation Hall is 85 square metres and combines grace, elegance and history - the room housed the House of Lords for periods during the Second World War. A low stage at one end of the room is framed by classically inspired arch details, with a private seated gallery at the other.

About Convocation Hall

The Convocation Hall – Conference Venue Westminster

The Convocation Hall is one the most historically significant event rooms within Church House conference centre in London as it was home to the House of Lords for periods during the Second World War. A plaque to commemorate this is situated at the far end of the room.

The room itself is large enough to accommodate either a small conference or a larger meeting as well as a variety of other events. The beautiful oak panelling is off set by a low stage at one end of the room which framed is by a series of classically inspired arches, while at the other end there is a small public gallery. There are 3 large windows in this space, so natural daylight is throughout the whole room.

The Convocation Hall – Conference Venue Westminster

The Convocation Hall is one the most historically significant event rooms within Church House conference centre in London as it was home to the House of Lords for periods during the Second World War. A plaque to commemorate this is situated at the far end of the room.

The room itself is large enough to accommodate either a small conference or a larger meeting as well as a variety of other events. The beautiful oak panelling is off set by a low stage at one end of the room which framed is by a series of classically inspired arches, while at the other end there is a small public gallery. There are 3 large windows in this space, so natural daylight is throughout the whole room.

Convocation Hall is most frequently booked for small meetings whether it be an as an AGM venue or small conference room. The London event space can accommodate 100 delegates in theatre style, 40 delegates on a long table in boardroom style and for cabaret style it will allow for up to 40 tables on tables of 8. Audio visual packages are available for this room including stage, projector, screen and D&B sound system. 

Dinners are very popular due to the intimate atmosphere this room provides, fine dining on a formal long table is perfect for 30 guests, they can enjoy a three or four course meal provided by our experience in-house catering team. Also in the evening receptions are another great choice in this event space, with extensive choices of food and drink options, from bowl food to canapes.

The Convocational Hall is a versatile event space in the Heart of London and is one of the 19 rooms that the venue offers. Church House Westminster is set within the peaceful and green Dean’s Yard, offering stunning views of Westminster Abbey and only a few minutes’ walk from Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament and St James’s Park.
