Our favourite places to eat during Summer in London

Despite Britain being known for its unreliable Summer weather, we have our fingers crossed that the recent heatwave will continue so we can enjoy some of the capitals best spots to eat!

Here are some suggestions from our team of their favourite places:

Sharnez, Events Coordinator

Pop Brixton is my favourite! It’s very similar to Box Park in Shoreditch or Croydon, but more sociable. They have open areas where you can take your food and drink from different vendors and socialise, so you and your friends are not restricted to deciding on one place to eat. They play music, have an area to dance and have one off events, like movie screenings. When the weather is good they take the roof of the structure and it almost feels like a day party!

For me the place to eat in London in summer is outdoors, without a doubt! Ideally I would get food from a street stall, either from a local market like Borough Market or a lone one on the street (I found one where they had awesome meat somewhere on the streets behind Piccadilly). If the food stall option is not available, then it’s something fresh (and/or freshly baked) from one of the supermarkets, then off to any of the parks around!

Café Rouge in Chiswick, by the river for brunch on the weekend. I often go here with my family for brunch, then walk along the river and feed the ducks. The staff are really friendly and the breakfast is great.

The Yacht is my favourite it is a restored 1920s boat, permanently moored at Temple Pier Victoria Embankment.

It is lovely to be able to enjoy your food and a glass of red wine whilst watching the sunset over London. The boat has great views of the Thames wherever you sit.

Quick trip to the local Waitrose to buy treats for a picnic in Richmond Park or dinner in one of the many restaurants on the river in Kingston.

My favourite place to eat in the summer is the Leather Bottle Beer Garden in Earlsfield. It is our local pub and has a large garden at the back with plenty of seating, including sofas! Or you can hire your own wooden hut for private events.

There is an outdoor bar and BBQ shack where you can order food, or you can order from the main menu which is British cuisine with all meat and poultry sourced from the West Country. There is also live music in the garden from time to time which adds to the fun atmosphere!

My favourite place to eat in London during any month of the year is Burger and Lobster, I love the surf and turf and they do really good cocktails.

Kensington Roof Gardens is my favourite –it has a lovely rooftop area which is so nice during the Summer with a great view of West Central London, whilst enjoying food and cocktails.

Hannah, Sales & Marketing Assistant

My favourite food spot during the Summer in London is Dinerama in Shoreditch! Dinerama is basically a street market with a roof making it ideal for our standard British Summer time when rain can make an unexpected appearance! I personally recommend ‘Burger & Beyond’ and their delicious meaty menu.
