On the last weekend of September 2019 Church House team members raised around £1,000 for their two charities!

On the 27th of September our Events Coordinator, Lauren McKenzie hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning in the Bishop Partridge Hall. The cake sale was attended by members of the Church House Westminster team as well as those from the offices in the building. Many of the events team brought in home-baked cakes and treats as well as the kitchen. Lauren also arranged a raffle with a selection of prizes which was very popular on the day. All in all, we donated over £400 to Macmillan Cancer Support, which is by far the most we have raised at a cake sale here at Church House. On Sunday the 29th Ben Palmer, one of our AV Technicians, ran the Ealing Half Marathon to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK. Ben was running in memory of his uncle who recently passed away. Parkinson’s UK offered great support to his uncle before his death. Ben completed the marathon in a time of 2 hours, 19 minutes (without passing out or having to be carried across the finish). Ben has so far raised over £500 for Parkinson’s UK.

From working and contributing to a local food bank, organising charity cake sales and other fundraising ideas, the Church House team is fully engaged with various charities. Earlier this year we raised over £1,000 for the British Heart Foundation. Also, working with our in-house caterer, CH&CO, leftover food from events is given to a local charity.
