We are now more than halfway through our year-long refurbishment programme. A great deal has already been achieved, but we still have a long way to go. Not only do we need to keep up with the progress of the builders, but there are colour schemes to consider, curtains and carpets to choose and a whole series of packages and activities for next year to plan.

In our Assembly Hall the tiered seating is a distant memory with the floor now completely levelled. When this, our largest room, reopens it will be much more flexible and suitable for a wider variety of events. As well as theatre style conferences and meetings we will be able to host gala dinners, cabaret style events and banquets, which will make the Assembly Hall one of the premier dining venues in London. The first banquet in the hall is already being planned and we are all very much looking forward to welcoming our first banqueting guests into this stunning room.

During this summer we have put together our Technical Specifications for 2007 which details our room capacities, rates and extensive AV packages for all our 19 conference and meeting rooms. Believe it or not we are also already thinking about Christmas 2007! More details of our festive packages will be announced in the next issue of Inspire.
