London, 24th October 2005: The Westminster Collection (TWC), the prestigious collection of venues in the City of Westminster, has announced a joint venture with Westminster City Council, designed to further develop Business Tourism in the heart of London.

The collaboration, which was officially launched today, will include links between the two organizations web sites, joint networking events and promotional activities.

Commenting on the launch of the new partnership, Chairman of TWC, René Dee said, "This is a major step change in the development of TWC since our launch two years ago, and will enable us to add further value to our members and increase the appeal of Westminster as a major business destination."

Cllr Danny Chalkley a cabinet member of Westminster City Council says, "As Cabinet Member for Economic Development & Transport I have a particular interest in this new relationship with the Westminster Collection. It is a very positive move for both parties, as it enables us to further promote the considerable business tourism benefits within the City of Westminster, raise the city's profile and deliver additional value to all businesses within the area."

Principal Planning Officer for Westminster City Council, Graham Hadley, adds; "Westminster City Council is delighted to support the Westminster Collection. Tourism, and business tourism in particular, makes a vitally important economic contribution to London, and the Westminster Collection is a crucial partner in ensuring we maximise that benefit to the local area, including local employment opportunities."
